Wedding: Thao & Paul

I had the privilege of capturing a lovely wedding of one of the sweetest couples, Thao and Paul. Their journey together began at UCI during their college years. Friendship was the initial basis of their unity but it was LOVE that swept them off their feet…Like many of the solidly founded relationships I know, they started out as friends and now it has blossomed into a great romance.

Like most customary weddings, the morning unfolded with the two separately getting ready for their big day. As I witnessed the two apart, it almost felt as though they were inseparably together. For instance, in the morning Thao was calmly reciting her vows with a sweet smile as her phone motioned a text from none other than Paul. As I was observing her from afar, I saw that she had a dreamy look and that her sweet smile grew into a dreamy chuckle. This was basically their way of being together when apart even if it was only a few rooms and hours away. I couldn’t help but join in with the bridesmaids as they adored her with admiration.

Thao and Paul have this awesome aura about them that naturally invites great people into their lives. It’s no wonder friends and family flocked and celebrated their big day with such delight. It was truly a celebration of LOVE! Congratulations to the perfect match! Wishing you all the best as you build your life together!

Anniversary: Erica & Greg

A year ago, Erica and Greg got married at the oceanfront Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach before a Judge and not a Priest. Initially what wasn’t a priority to them has now changed…To pivotally mark this change, they renewed their wedding vows at the beautiful Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in the presence of their families and friends. Isn’t that such a wonderfully heartwarming idea?!?! It was a special experience as everyone embraced the young couple with congratulatory hugs and kisses.

I met with the lovely couple at the end of their ceremony and couldn’t resist snapping a few shots inside the church before migrating to their love shack for the after-party celebration! Erica and Greg did an awesome job transforming their spacious yard into a beautiful garden themed haven!

Congratulations Erica and Greg on your one year anniversary! I’ve been told that the first year of marriage is the hardest; if you survive it then it’s smooth sailing from here on out! You guys made it!

Wedding: Nyla & Greg

It delights me to announce that Nyla and Greg are now hitched. They tied the knot in late-February and held an unforgettable and intimate wedding reception in San Diego. Not only was their marriage a union between two souls in love, but also a union between families that undeniably adore each other. This love emerged from the fusion of different traditions and from observing the heart-felt interaction shared between the unified families, I suspect a bond that will last for generations to come… It’s truly a dream combination.

One of the highlights of the wedding was Greg’s deeply moving speech that brought everyone to tears. The tear-jerker speech went something like, “You can forget what people say or what they do, but you will never forget how they make you feel.” It was evident that he was referring to his beautiful bride. :)

Nyla & Greg: Thanks for allowing me to capture the purest form of love on your special day. May this be the beginning of a lifetime filled with wonderful memories to come.

Wedding: Diana & Nathan

I recently had the pleasure of second shooting a charming wedding with Tai Tran. Love birds, Diana and Nathan, were so relaxed, organized, and fun, which made their special day unfolded beautifully. While I was assisting Diana with her traditional dress, we had some quiet time for girl talk and a get-to-know-each-other session! From our conversation, I learned that Diana has been with Nathan for 13 years. Yes! THIRTEEN YEARS! I write this in CAPS because boy was I surprised. Coincidently, my hubby and I have been together for 13 years so usually I am the one shocking people, when I tell them this and not the other way around. It looks like we have met our match! You should have been there as Diana and I laughed hysterically in disbelief.

There is something about weddings that makes me sooo happy…the laughter, joyous tears, and simple interactions amongst family, friends, and loved ones that radiates the atmosphere just sinks my heart. Sometimes love can touch you so profoundly that you feel happiness even for those you have just met, and you feel their love for each other and it’s as if you’ve known them for a lifetime. This was evident at Diana and Nathan’s wedding; their love was visibly strong and truly inspiring. Congratulations to a beautiful couple and to 100 more years of love and joy!
